A two-vehicle wreck on U.S. Highway 72 near Stevenson claimed the life of a Flat Rock man Wednesday.
According to Jackson County Coroner John David Jordan, Noah Clyde Smith, 66, of Flat Rock was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred around 1:10 p.m appoximately three miles west of Stevenson.
Jordan said Smith was riding a motorcycle, which was struck from behind by another vehicle.
Jordan said he didn’t think the driver of the other vehicle was injured.
“I think the driver was taken to the hospital,” said Jordan. “But I don’t think anyone else was hurt.”
The accident is under investigation by the Stevenson Police Department.
