Scottsboro Police Department investigators arrested a woman, accused of stealing a debit card, Monday.

Melissa Whitley, 29, of Scottsboro was charged with theft second degree and fraudulent use of a debit card.

Sgt. Scott Matthews said the victim reported the debit card stolen and used on May 11.

"Whitley allegedly took the debit card, then used it to make purchases in the Scottsboro area," said Matthews.
