Marijuana plants found growing in Bridgeport

Published August 4, 2009

Two marijuana plants were found growing near Knox’s Landing in Bridgeport.

According to Chief Deputy Chuck Phillips of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, deputy Rick Bremer found the plants over the weekend after receiving a call.

“Both plants were about 10-15 inches tall,” Phillips said.

No arrests are expected to be made in the case.

“The plants were just found in a wooded area after Rick was notified they were there,” Phillips said.
