The Scottsboro City Council is expected Monday to approve giving its city employees a one-time pay raise to coincide with the upcoming holiday season.

The city council has approved one-time pay raises on an annual basis for some time now, according to Mayor Melton Potter.

Full-time employees will receive $150, while part-time employees will receive either $75 or $50.

In other business Monday, the council:

• will consider a liquor license for Geno’s.

• will consider a donation to the Jackson County SPCA.

• will consider an office manager job description.

• will announce two vacancies on the Adjustment and Appeal Board.

• will reschedule the Dec. 7 work session.
