It will be Monday night football when the 0-3 Woodville Panthers challenge the Collinsville Panthers at Collinsville on a night usually reserved for the NFL. The flu bug took its toll.
Collinsville High School postponed its scheduled Class 1A, Region 6 home game against Woodville High School Friday night, because Woodville’s team had been ravaged by illness.
The game has been rescheduled for Monday at 7 p.m. at Collinsville.
Collinsville Principal Donnie Jones said he got a call about 2:45 p.m. Friday from Woodville’s principal who said Woodville “had too many sick kids and they weren’t going to be able to play.
“We’ve never had that happen before. We called the State Board of Education and asked them what to do. Someone from there then called Woodville and they made arrangements for the game to be rescheduled,” he said.
