A rash of thefts are taking place around Macedonia and Section, involving utility trailers.

Jackson County investigator Shannon Brewster said at least three incidents have been reported in the last two weeks.

In the past week, two cases were reported at residences on County Road 38 near Macedonia. Brewster said the residences were only a couple of miles apart.

“They're just taking the trailers from the residences,”Brewster said. “Just hooking up the trailers to their vehicle and pulling off.”

Brewster urged residents not to leave their trailers or anything for that matter in the open.

“Don’t leave it where someone can see it from the road,” he said. “Pull it behind the house.”
