Vernon C. “Bud” Davis
Vernon C. “Bud” Davis, 73, of Pleasant Groves, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2009, at Highlands Medial Center.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 3, from Pleasant Groves Holiness Church with Bro. Arthur McAllister and Bro. Junior Stephens officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Groves Cemetery.
Scottsboro Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Vera West Davis; children, Connie and Debbie Davis and Steve and Kaye Davis; grandchildren, Aaron and Jessica Key, Nathan and Cynthia Davis, DeWayne and Natalie Wilson, Kyle Morris, Ashley Davis, Craig Davis and Cole Pence; great-grandchildren, Leigh-Anna Davis, Adrie-Ana Davis and Cescily Wilson; special friends, Tommy and Brenda Dalton; brothers, Glen Davis of Scottsboro and Ray and Joyce Davis of Nila; brother-in-law, Kenneth and Catherine West of Pleasant Groves; sisters, Bonnie and John Arnold of Hytop, Joyce West of Hytop, Daryl and Shirley Scroggins of Scottsboro, Carolyn and Rodney Foster of Mentone and Cathy and Thomas Mitchell of Scottsboro; and sisters-in-law, Mildred Peacock of Pleasant Groves and Retha and Ray Hudgins of Pleasant Groves.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Alene Davis and Jack and Hattie West; brothers, Sammy and Horace Davis; and sister, Ruby Lewis.
