Fourth quarter surge lifts Pisgah to win

The Pisgah Eagles boys basketball team outscored host Geraldine 15-2 in the fourth quarter to pick up a 64-51 win on Saturday.

Pisgah (6-4) trailed 23-19 after one quarter and 38-32 at halftime before tying it at 49-all after three quarters.

Skylar Hall scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Josh Perialas finished with 10 points and six assists. Corey Wheeler closed with 10 points, while Zac Barringer had seven points and seven assists. Brandon Sensor pitched in seven points and five assists for the Eagles.

• Etowah 56, Scottsboro 52 — At Attalla, the Wildcats fell to Blue Devils on Saturday.

Blake Paradise finished with 15 points for the Wildcats (4-9) while teammate Jakes Lewis chipped in 13.

• Fyffe 95, North Jackson 52 — At Stevenson, North Jackson couldn't keep up with visiting 2A No. 3-ranked Fyffe. North Jackson (2-6) trailed 26-8, 49-30 and 75-43 at the quarter breaks.

Zac Barnard scored 10 points while Montel Hale added eight for North Jackson. Josh Barksdale led six Fyffe players in double figures with 14.

Friday
• Woodville 85, Whitesburg Christian 40 — At Huntsville, 10 players scored points as visiting Woodville rolled to a Class 1A Area 14 win.

Coty Durham paced the Panthers with 25 points while Kyle Holt and Jacob Maynard both scored 12. Brent Lankford added eight.

Woodville (9-4, 4-1) was in front 25-9 after one quarter and led 45-21 at halftime.

• NSM 53, Plainview 50 — At Higdon, North Sand Mountain outscored visiting Plainview 19-11 in the fourth quarter to rally to win.

Kennedy Marion scored 20 points while Nick Baker contributed 16 for NSM, which trailed 18-15, 32-26 and 39-34 at the quarter breaks.

• Guntersville 72, North Jackson 53 — At Stevenson, North Jackson fell to 0-3 in 4A Area 14 play.

Guntersville, 3-0 in area play, built a 17-5 lead after one quarter and was in front 36-21 at halftime and 56-37 after three quarters.

Jackson Maynard scored 12 points for North Jackson, which also got 10 from Jovani Taylor.
