Man and woman facing possession charges

An investigation by Jackson County Sheriff's deputy Travis Renfro led to the arrests of two people early Friday morning in Scottsboro.

According to Chief Deputy Chuck Phillips, Renfro and Scottsboro Police officer Ann Cornelison served a search warrant at a residence on Tim Street.

During the search, Renfro and Cornelison found grams of crack cocaine. Dustin Wayne Long, 27, of Scottsboro and Linda Faye Black, 48, of Ider were both arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

As of Friday morning, Long and Black remained in the Jackson County Jail, awaiting bond.
