Police trying to find county’s most wanted

Published November 24, 2009

Jackson County investigators cleaned up a board last week of the county's most wanted, arresting several throughout the week.

That is, all except for one, according to Cpt. Eric Woodall.

Jonathan Matthew Higdon, 35, is considered the county’s most wanted individual.

There are currently four warrants on Higdon, including Probation Violation for Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance First Degree, Domestic Violence Second Degree, Domestic Violence Third Degree Reckless Endangerment and Criminal Mischief.

“He’s fled from officers on more than one occasion,” Woodall said.

Higdon has been known to frequent the Higdon, Bryant, Stevenson and Bridgeport areas, according to Woodall.

“He’s considered to be dangerous,” Woodall said.

If anyone has any information, they are urged to contact the Jackson County Sheriff's Office at 256-574-2610.
