John Paul Breland
John Paul Breland, 88, of Langston, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2009, at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Agnes Breland; his sister, Thelma Breland; and brothers, Ray Breland, Virgil Breland, Ernest Breland, Gordon Breland, Beverly Breland and Jim Breland.
He is survived by his wife, Chloe Michaels Breland; daughter, Barbara Breland; son, David Breland; brother, R.A. Breland; and grandchildren, Megan Breland, John Breland, II and Kimberly Keen.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 25, at 2 p.m. at Langston United Methodist Church with Rev. Billy Limbrick officiating. Burial will follow in Langston Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 until 2 p.m. on Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Langston United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
