Jerry T. Holcomb
Jerry T. Holcomb, 59, of Dutton, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2009, at his residence.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 29,from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Dutton with Rev. Dorsey Walker and Bro. Glen York officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body will lie in state from 1 until 2 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
Rainsville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, make donations to Troop 155 Boy Scouts, Sylvania.
Mr. Holcomb is survived by his wife, Joan Brown Holcomb; daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Sean Davis of Fort Payne, Barla and Brent Thomas of Dutton and Alena Crow of Powell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Shirley HOlcomb of Grove Oak, Bobby and Gail Holcomb of Section, Jaye and Margie Holcomb of Section and Ned and Sharon Holcomb of Section; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Rayford Jones of Section, Jean Black of Section, Dell and David Cook of Scottsboro, Louise and jack Green of Jacksonville and Carolyn and Larry Massey of Section; and eight grandchildren.
Mr. Holcomb was preceded in death by his parents, T.P. and Bernice Holcomb.
