James Elmore Dabbs
James Elmore Dabbs, 90, of Dutton, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at Cloverdale Manor.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 2, at 1 p.m. from Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Al Johnson and Rev. R. L. Ryler officiating. Burial will follow in Free Home Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1, from 5 until 9 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
Mr. Dabbs is survived by his wife, Olivia Selvage Dabbs; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Cathy Dabbs of Henagar and Frankie and Sharon Dabbs of Henagar; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Glenn Brooks of Hengar, Reta Dabbs of Scottsboro, Chris and Gerald Combs of Chapel Hill, Tenn., Earlene and Eddie Bidds of Jacksonville, Fla. and Charlene and Dewey Garmany of Henagar; sister, Juanice and John Corbett of Dutton; one brother and one sister of Texas; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
