Five arrested in Fackler

Published December 3, 2009

A two-month probe by investigator Kevin Miller concluded with several arrests Tuesday afternoon on County Road 45 in Fackler.

Five people were arrested, at two different residences, on drug charges, according to Chief Deputy Chuck Phillips.

At the first residence, Cynthia Denise Sullivan, 44, of Fackler, and Christopher Allen Lee, 32, of Fackler, were both arrested on felony charges.

Sullivan was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth) and Possession of Marijuana Second Degree. Lee was charged with Possession of Marijuana First Degree and on a warrant for Probation Violation.

A third person, Marlene Elizabeth Sanders, 46, of Fackler, was also arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana Second Degree.

Sullivan is currently out of jail on bond.

“A small child was also located in the home,” said Phillips. “DHR was contacted and took custody of the child.”

During the arrests, Phillips said a neighbor next door ran out of his trailer. Deputies Travis Renfro and John McCrary tracked down the man, identified as Jeffery Sullivan, 41, of Fackler.

“After he was caught, he had meth and marijuana in his possession,” Phillips said.

Sullivan was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth) and Possession of Marijuana Second Degree. He was also charged with Probation Revocation.

After a search warrant was obtained, investigators and deputies found more meth inside the residence.

Phillips said a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix, stolen in Cherokee County, Ga. on June 28, was located on the residence.

“We also located a stolen tag, reported stolen on Oct. 31 in DeKalb County, Ga.,” Phillips said.

Sullivan received additional charges of Receiving Stolen Property First Degree and Receiving Stolen Property Third Degree.

Another person at the residence, Anita Gail Cornelison, 46, of Fackler, was also arrested.

She was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Receiving Stolen Property First Degree and Receiving Stolen Property Third Degree.

Sullivan and Cornelison remain in the Jackson County Jail.
