Traffic stop results in meth lab discovery

Published July 27, 2010

A traffic stop Saturday evening led a Jackson County Sheriff's deputy to locating a meth lab in a vehicle.

Chief Deputy Chuck Phillips said deputy Tony Baker made the traffic stop around 5 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Highway 71 and County Road 418 in Dutton.

"The stop led to the vehicle being searched," said Phillips. "[Baker] found parts of the meth lab in the passenger compartment, in the trunk and on the suspect."

Anthony Jason Little, 35, of Fyffe, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance First Degree.

Captain Eric Woodall assisted Baker with the meth lab.

Also during the stop, a 42-year-old Pisgah woman was arrested on warrants.

Little remained in the Jackson County Jail Monday.
