Homer Roberts Jr.
Homer Roberts Jr., 65, of Dutton, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2009, at his home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 7, at 3 p.m. from Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fred Porter and Rev. Ronnie Day officiating. Burial will follow in Chaney's Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Susan Annette Mitchell Roberts; sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Lynn Roberts of Dutton and Greg and Lee Ann Robets of Dutton; grandson, Michael Paul Roberts of Dutton; step-grandchildren, Amber Johnson, Jacob Johnson and Steven Johnson, all of Dutton; step-great-grandson, Brantley Tate Johnson of Dutton; and sisters, Florene Hughes of Dutton, Lois Long of Hixson, Tenn., Helen Phillips of Scottsboro and Sue Beam of Macedonia.
Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Henry and Myrtle Gertrude Roberts Sr.; sister, Mildred Ora Cope; daughter-in-law, Pamela Denise Roberts; and step-grandson, Drew Cornelison.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
