Jean Barnette
Jean Barnette, 74, of Scottsboro passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 2 p.m. from Rudder Funeral Home Chapel with Jason Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-7 p.m.
Mrs. Barnette is survived by her mother Nixola Joyce Collier Duncan; sons, William Russ (Georgetta) Barnette of Jasper and James Duncan (Pamela) Barnette of Scottsboro; grandchildren, Cassidy and Haynes Barnette and families of Jasper; Wayne Fowler and family of Scottsboro; Corky Beth Hood and family of Scottsboro; sisters, Anne (Earl) Sturdivant and Bobi (Darrell) Petters, both of Aberdeen, Miss.; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and their families; and several aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Jasper Duncan.
Mrs. Barnette was a member of First Baptist Church, on the Heritage Center Board, and was a member of Eastern Star.
