Jackson County’s most-wanted individual was apprehended Tuesday afternoon in the Fabius community.

Cpt. Eric Woodall said investigators Marty May and Kevin Miller arrested Jonathan Matthew Higdon, 35, after pulling him over on County Road 81.

“We had information Higdon was staying at a residence in Pisgah,” Woodall said.

Woodall added that May and Miller kept survelliance on the house, on County Road 58, on Tuesday.

“They observed a vehicle leaving the residence with a subject that fit the description of Higdon,” Woodall said.

Higdon was wanted on four warrants, including Probation Violation for Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance First Degree, Domestic Violence Second Degree, Domestic Violence Third Degree Reckless Endangerment and Criminal Mischief.

He was arrested without incident, according to Woodall, and taken to the Jackson County Jail.

Higdon was released on a $5,000 bond, then transferred to the DeKalb County Jail, where he is also facing domestic violence charges.
