NSM 24, Gaston 20 NSM uses miraculous comeback to edge Gaston

NSM scores two TDs in a 37-second span to rally from an 11-point fourth-quarter deficit

The lights went out at Lloyd Dobbins Stadium in Higdon Friday night. It almost seemed fitting for a North Sand Mountain football team that put together a heart-stopping rally to defeat Gaston 24-20.

After the Bison cut the Gaston lead to 20-17 with 1:15 left in the game, half of the stadium lights went out. North Sand Mountain coach Adam Gilbert and Gaston coach Swane Morris met in the middle of the field and agreed to finish the game.
